The goal of our cycling club is to bring together a group of local cyclists to share a sport that we all enjoy. We cycle because it’s FUN and we realize how lucky we are to be able to cycle with such beautiful lakes and hills as our backdrop. We aim to promote cycling in our community as an activity which is a means of staying both physically and mentally healthy.

 

About the Owasco Velo Club

The Club was founded in 2003 by local cyclist Dean Furnia.

  2. June 22nd -- “3 Lakes” Ride (70 miles)

  3. July 13th -- Chimney Bluffs Century

  4. Aug 3rd -- Cayuga Lake Century

  5. Aug 24th -- Fair Haven Ride (90 miles)

  6. Aug 30th - Sept 1st -- Labor Day wknd rides

17 cyclists joined the ride around Owasco Lake to honor our friend Jack Kirch, who passed away in 2021. Jack was a unique person, energetic and always optimistic -- the kind of friend who would do anything for you and never expect anything in return. We are all better people for having had him in our lives.

Annual Membership is currently free.
