This week’s Saturday ride, Aug 30th -- 7:00 am Emerson Park, 45 miles. go thru Skaneateles (Sherwood Inn) at 7:30 am to Rt 41 to Pork St to Otisco Valley Rd, to Oak Hill Rd, back to Otisco Valley Rd to Coon Hill to Rt 41 & back home.

This week’s Sunday ride, Aug 31st -- 7:00 am Emerson Park, 35 miles, Rt 38A to Rockefeller to Arnold, Grange, 12 Corners to 38A to Dewitt to Weeks to Swartout.

Labor Day Ride Mon Sept 1st -- 7:00 am Emerson

Park, ride to be determined by the group. Maybe go North.

This week’s ride schedule . . . .

Each weekend, when there is not a race, we try to schedule a group training ride for Sat and Sun mornings, usually leaving from Emerson Park. We also usually try to have an informal group ride on Tue evening.

Weekly individual time trials (TT) are on Thurs eves at 6 pm, alternating between the 10 mile West Lake Rd course leaving from just south of the traffic circle, and the 16 mile East Lake Rd course, leaving from Emerson Park, weather permitting.

Road racing season is nearing the end. Now ride to enjoy. No pressure. Think about cyclocross season. Explore some routes that you haven’t done. Put a taillight on with sun going down early this time of the year.

These rides are NOT sponsored by the Owasco Velo Club and are only listed on this website for the convenience of local cyclists. The rides are simply weekly rides organized by local cyclists, not supported by any local organization.

Cycling is inherently a dangerous sport. Each rider is responsible for his / her own safety. If you are uncomfortable with the weather, the size of the group, the pace of the ride or the course itself, then it is up to you to decide whether you are putting yourself at risk by participating.
